My Story
My Story

The beginning
The beginning
There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Even if you look down that tunnel and see rain clouds, the thunder eventually passes, the rain will stop, and sunshine is waiting behind the clouds to guide you in the right direction. My parents have been the sunshine in my life. My dad is admirable, strong, and yet has such a gentle soul. My mother is this adorable little woman that may be short in stature, but has a large presence… the smile on her face will light up the room and comfort any soul. They are the reason for my journey because I live my life honoring the way they have raised me.

I have always loved writing and my mother helped me refine this skill over the years by teaching me the importance of consistency. When writing, the verbiage and grammar must be consistent for the reader to easily digest the information so they will comprehend what is being conveyed. She challenged my creative writing skills, encouraged me to research even when providing my opinion to add to the validity of my statement, and submitted some of my articles to Reader’s Digest. She didn’t realize how vital this would become in my life as it helped build my confidence not only in writing, but in general literary expression. I began writing poetry in my teens and posted them to poetry.com where some of them can still be found today. This foundation led me to a career in Public Policy, Compliance, and Information Technology.
